Neben ihrer bildkünstlerischen Arbeit beschäftigt sich Olga Valery Müller mit kunsthistorischer Forschung.

Sie ist Mitglied im Deutschen Verband für Kunstgeschichte.

Im Rahmen ihres Promotionsstudiums ( St. Petersburg) legte sie die Kandidatenprüfungen in Geschichte und Philosophie der Wissenschaft, Fremdsprache, Psychologie der Pedagogik sowie Kunstgeschichte ab und arbeitete an ihrer Dissertation.

Ihre Publikationen befassen sich insbesondere mit der Entwicklung stilistischer Besonderheiten unter dem Einfluss des jeweiligen kulturellen Kontextes.
